Join us for Google My Business Training

Did you know that Google My Business is the #1 factor in local SEO today? I was a bit shocked and pretty excited when I first heard this. Why? I had’nt considered how something so DIY and intuitive could be the driving factor to how a business shows up in Google’s search results. See, I’ve been very active on Google My Business (GMB) and Google Street View since August 2016 when I got my first 360 camera and began posting 360 degree photos on Street View. Since then I’ve posted images to Google for thousands of locations and businesses, and my photos have over 51 million views. I actively leave ratings and reviews for companies that I’ve done business with because I know it matters. I’ve edited listings with updated information as a member of the public to make the listings more accurate. And as a marketer I have spent the time to compile everything that a remodeler needs to know about Google My Business.

In my research I found that very few remodeling contractors have completed and optimized their listings. That’s good news for you since it’s relatively simple to make GMB work to boost your rankings and outpace your competition. Completing your listing sends signals to Google’s algorithm that your business is worth showing more often and higher in search results. Being active on Google My Business regularly helps even more and keeps the momentum going, which you do by adding photos, soliciting and responding to reviews, monitoring outside edits, Q&As and more. All of this doesn’t cost any money except for the time it takes someone to do it. So, why not jump in and learn more about GMB so that whoever does marketing in your company can do it efficiently and without wasting time searching online for answers.
